Agubata Advocates for Stronger Alumni Networks for Women

During a webinar celebrating International Women's Day, Dr. Felicia Agubata, a member of the Association of Professional Women Engineers Nigeria, called for the establishment of stronger alumni networks to enhance opportunities for women.

She stressed that these networks should serve as powerful platforms for mentorship, career growth, and social support. Agubata highlighted the importance of leveraging school connections to create opportunities for women and girls, noting that active alumni networks can provide scholarships, internships, and leadership opportunities.

She pointed out that investing in girls' education yields significant benefits for families and communities. Agubata also addressed challenges faced by women at different life stages, including academic pressure and work-life balance.

She urged alumni groups to create structured platforms for sharing opportunities and to celebrate members' achievements. Additionally, Dr.

Kunle Megbuwawon underscored health issues affecting women, particularly during menopause, advising regular medical consultations.
