Jigawa Police Support Widows of Fallen Officers on IWD

On International Women's Day, the Jigawa State Police Command conducted a humanitarian outreach program, distributing food items to 100 widows of deceased officers. The event, held at the state headquarters, aimed to honor the sacrifices made by women and support police families.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Tijjani Murtala emphasized the critical role women play in society, noting their resilience and contributions as mothers, wives, and caregivers. He expressed hope that the gesture would bring joy to the widows of fallen heroes and reaffirmed the command's commitment to supporting these families.

Dinna Yunana, representing the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA), commended the command for its initiative and reiterated POWA's dedication to the welfare of police families. The food items distributed included bags of rice and cartons of spaghetti, with beneficiaries expressing gratitude for the support, which they believe will motivate them to continue honoring the memories of their fallen loved ones.
