Alex Iwobi Approaches 100 Caps for Nigeria's Super Eagles

Alex Iwobi is on the verge of becoming the fourth Nigerian footballer to earn 100 international caps for the Super Eagles, joining the ranks of Joseph Yobo, Vincent Enyeama, and Ahmed Musa. Yobo, a central defender from Kono River State, made his debut in 2001 and played in three FIFA World Cups (2002, 2010, 2014) and six Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, winning the AFCON title in 2013.

He reached his 100th cap during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Vincent Enyeama, a goalkeeper, also reached 100 caps, making his debut in 2002 and representing Nigeria in three World Cups and six AFCON tournaments, winning the AFCON in 2013.

Ahmed Musa holds the record for the most caps, with 111 appearances since his debut in 2010. Iwobi's journey to this milestone reflects his commitment to Nigerian football, having represented the country at various youth levels before choosing to play for Nigeria.
