JAMB Arrests Candidates and Parent for Result Forgery

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has apprehended two candidates and a parent for allegedly forging examination results using artificial intelligence. The JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, disclosed that the suspects manipulated official results with the intent to deceive others, including parents and guardians.

This conduct is classified as a serious criminal offense, and the board is pursuing culpable individuals to the full extent of the law. JAMB has cautioned candidates against tampering with results, emphasizing the importance of integrity in the examination process.

The board announced that 632,788 candidates sat for the examination on Thursday, April 16, and results will be released in batches. Candidates can check their scores via SMS by sending their registration numbers to the designated numbers, with official result slips expected to be available at a later date.
