JAMB Releases 622,788 UTME Results, Warns Against Fraud

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the first batch of 622,788 results for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted on April 16, 2026. JAMB has issued a warning against score manipulation and the falsification of results, highlighting that such actions constitute a criminal offense.

Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the spokesperson for JAMB, stated that two candidates have already been arrested for allegedly using artificial intelligence to falsify their UTME results.

Candidates can check their results via SMS by sending "utmeresult" to either 55019 or 66019, using the phone number registered during the examination. The results will be available for viewing and printing, although not all results are ready yet.

The examination process began on April 16 and is expected to continue until April 22, 2026, across examination centers nationwide.
