JAMB Disassociates from Lead City University Law Admissions

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has publicly disassociated itself from the law admissions process at Lead City University, stating that the university's admissions are not recognized by the board. A statement issued by JAMB's Public Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, followed complaints regarding the alleged admissions process.

JAMB clarified that the admissions were not conducted through its Central Admissions Process System, which is the approved platform for tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Consequently, the admissions are not recognized within the official admission framework of the board.

JAMB noted that the university's law program is currently under a five-year suspension and emphasized that institutions must comply with existing admission guidelines during this period. The board advised prospective students to ensure that their admission processes are conducted through recognized platforms to avoid complications and warned that accepting offers outside of these platforms could lead to difficulties in document recognition and admission status.
