JAMB Extends 2026 Direct Entry Registration to May 8

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced an extension of the registration deadline for the 2026 Direct Entry application to May 8, 2026. This decision, communicated by JAMB's public advisor Dr.

Fabian Benjamin, was made to ensure that no prospective Direct Entry candidates are denied the opportunity to access tertiary education in the country. The earlier deadline was set for April 25, 2026.

In response to high demand for registration locations, JAMB has approved five additional registration centers across Nigeria, including a center at the University of Ilorin in Kwara State, Bell University of Technology in Ogun State, Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ogun State, and the Federal College of Education in Oyo State. The Lagos center will commence operations on April 30, 2026.

JAMB also noted that professional registration centers and professional test centers will remain open for ongoing Direct Entry registration.
