JAMB Extends Admission Acceptance Deadline to 2026

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced a new deadline of September 30, 2026, for candidates who received admission offers from 2021 to either accept or reject these offers. This extension was communicated in a statement signed by JAMB spokesman Fabian Benjamin, following an earlier deadline of August 31, 2026.

Candidates are strongly advised to take action before the new deadline, as failure to do so will result in their admission status being reverted to "Not Admitted." Those who accept their offers can print their admission letters, while those who reject will have their records updated accordingly. Candidates who have changed institutions or programs can still accept their offers and later apply for corrections.

Additionally, candidates with pending offers from previous years who have been admitted in the 2026 exercise can reject the old offers without affecting their new admission. JAMB emphasized that no further opportunities will be provided after the September 30 deadline.
