JAMB Releases 2026 UTME Results for Underage Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced the release of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results for underage candidates, as stated by Dr Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Public Communication Adviser, on a Saturday in Abuja. Underage candidates are defined as those under 16 years old as of September 30, 2026.

The results are intended for candidates and their guardians to assess performance but do not guarantee admission. Only underage candidates who meet stringent criteria for exceptional consideration, including a minimum UTME score of 320 and at least 80 percent in relevant Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) subjects, will be considered for admission.

The admission process is rigorous, involving multiple assessments to ensure candidates demonstrate the necessary academic maturity. The final assessment will await the release of the National Examinations Council (NECO) results, which are pending.

JAMB will announce a date for the final assessment once the NECO results are available.
