JAMB Denies Viral 394 UTME Result as Fake

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has addressed the circulation of a viral result slip claiming a candidate, Okon Winniefr Sampson from Cross River State, scored 394 out of 400 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). JAMB's spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, described the result as fake, highlighting that it does not conform to the board's official result template.

Benjamin noted that the registration number on the alleged result does not match JAMB's system-generated format, indicating potential fraud. He urged Nigerians to rely on official communication channels for authentic information regarding UTME results and warned against spreading misinformation, which could undermine public confidence in the examination process.

JAMB emphasized that the current UTME results remain valid and that the board is committed to maintaining the integrity of the examination system.
