Akwa Ibom Declares Two Absconded Doctors Wanted for Duty Post Neglect

Akwa Ibom State government has declared two absconded medical doctors wanted for abandoning their duty posts. The doctors, Uduakabasi Ita and Mfonobong George Bassey, were trained by the state government but failed to serve the agreed number of years.

The Commissioner of Health, Ekim John, expressed disappointment and warned them to return to work or face punitive action. The government emphasized the need for trained medical officers to fulfill their service obligations before seeking opportunities elsewhere.

This move aims to ensure the proper deployment of resources and healthcare services to the people of Akwa Ibom State.
