Na Kudu Disowns Alleged Power-Sharing Agreement in Jigawa

Senator Sabo Muhammed Na Kudu, the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State, publicly rejected an alleged power-sharing agreement with former governorship aspirant Hon. Bashir Adamu Jumbo. In a disclaimer dated August 8, 2026, Na Kudu stated he had no involvement in the purported agreement, which was reportedly dated July 3, 2026.

He denied negotiating, signing, approving, authorizing, or ratifying the document, labeling it as false and misleading. Na Kudu specifically rejected the alleged 60:40 power-sharing arrangement and any provisions regarding the deputy governorship position and other appointments.

He disowned the signature purportedly appended to the document, asserting he neither signed it nor authorized anyone to do so on his behalf. Na Kudu urged party supporters and the public to disregard the document and threatened legal action against anyone responsible for fabricating or circulating it.

He confirmed that he selected Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, a former PDP and NNPP governorship candidate, as his running mate for the 2027 governorship election.
