Jigawa State to Launch Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign on October 6, 2025

Jigawa State has set October 6, 2025, for the launch of a Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign targeting millions of children. Shehu Ibrahim, the state immunisation officer, revealed this during a dialogue session.

The campaign, in collaboration with the federal government, aims to integrate Rubella vaccine into the standard Measles immunisation program across the state's 27 local government areas. The initiative seeks to combat the fatal diseases affecting children.

Facilitator Jibril Abdussalam emphasized the role of the media in creating awareness and promoting accountability in service delivery for the vaccination exercise's success.
