Kwara State to Commence Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign for Children

Kwara State government is initiating a measles-rubella vaccination campaign starting on October 11, targeting children and young individuals aged nine months to 14 years in 16 local government areas. The campaign aims to integrate polio and measles-rubella vaccines to ensure comprehensive immunization.

The state's Primary Health Care Development Agency, led by Prof. Nusirat Elelu, is coordinating the campaign with a focus on areas facing insecurity challenges.

Various stakeholders, including security agencies, health workers, and the media, are engaged to ensure a successful vaccination drive. The effort aligns with global targets for measles-rubella elimination by 2030.
