Jigawa State Targets 3M Children for Measles and Rubella Vaccination Campaign

Jigawa State is intensifying efforts to immunize over 3 million children against measles and rubella. The State Primary Health Care Development Agency is conducting an integrated vaccination campaign from October 6th to 15th, 2025, targeting children aged 9 months to 14 years.

The program will cover various vaccines for different age groups. The Federal Government aims to vaccinate 100 million children to reduce morbidity and mortality rates.

Nigeria has seen confirmed measles cases and deaths in recent years. The state officials emphasize the importance of parental cooperation to ensure the success of the vaccination program.
