Jigawa State Government Suspends Contractors Over Poor Hospital and School Feeding

The Jigawa State government has suspended several contractors responsible for supplying food to state hospitals and schools after discovering serious lapses during surprise inspections. The inspections, led by Hon.

Auwal D. Sankara of the Jigawa State Commission on Humanitarian Affairs, revealed substandard meals being served to patients and students.

Contractors for Gwaram Cottage Hospital and Bamaina Academy were suspended for poor food quality and incomplete supplies. The Commission expressed dissatisfaction with the meal standards and announced an imminent review of the feeding policy.

Governor Umar Namadi's administration is enforcing strict compliance with the state's welfare policies. The government will continue surprise inspections, including midnight visits, to ensure the quality and quantity of food delivered to patients and students.
