Jigawa Lecturer Loses Two Children in Fire Tragedy

On Thursday morning, a tragic fire outbreak in Jigawa State claimed the lives of two children belonging to Aminuddeen Abubakar, a staff member at the Federal University Dutse. The incident occurred around 4:00 AM in Layin Dabinai, near Masallacin Malam Babba.

The fire engulfed the room occupied by the two children, and despite the prompt emergency response efforts from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the intensity of the fire made rescue efforts impossible. The children were found badly burned and were confirmed dead at the scene.

Badruddeen Tijjani, a spokesperson for the NSCDC Jigawa State Command, extended condolences to the family of the deceased children and urged residents to remain vigilant and adopt strict fire safety practices.
