JNI Demands Justice After Deadly Plateau Market Attack

The Jama'atu Nasril Islam (JNI), led by Sultan Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar, condemned a deadly attack on the Angwan Rukuba community market in Jos North Local Government Area, Plateau State. The organization described the incident as heartless and expressed outrage over the killing of innocent citizens.

In a statement issued by Secretary General Khalid Abubakar Aliyu, the JNI highlighted a disturbing pattern of senseless violence across Plateau and called for justice for the victims. They questioned the government's failure to address ongoing insecurity and emphasized that human life is sacrosanct.

The JNI insisted that the perpetrators must be identified and punished without delay. They urged security agencies to intensify efforts to track down those responsible and warned that continued killings could become a dangerous norm, particularly in Northern Nigeria.

The group also called for a thorough investigation and urged the Plateau State government to compensate victims' families and provide medical care for the injured.
