JNI Urges Calm in Jos After Recent Killings

The Jama'atu Nasril Islam (JNI) has issued a statement urging residents of Jos, Plateau State, to remain calm in the aftermath of recent killings that occurred on a Sunday. The organization, represented by its Secretary, Dr. Salim Musa Umar, emphasized the importance of law adherence and the gradual return to peace in the area.

They expressed gratitude for the peaceful conduct observed during Friday Jumu'ah prayers across the state and noted improvements in the security situation. The JNI also sought to dispel misleading information circulating on social media, affirming their representation of the victims' families during President Bola Tinubu's condolence visit, which confirmed that four victims were buried at the Babal burial ground in the presence of their families.

The organization urged the Muslim community to avoid spreading unverifiable information and instead promote peace, unity, and coexistence within the community.
