JNI Denies Claims of Exclusive Christian Victim Invitation

The Jama'atu Nasril Islam (JNI) issued a statement denying allegations that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu invited only Christian victims during his condolence visit to Plateau State. The JNI, represented by its Secretary Dr.

Salim Umar Musa, clarified that four Muslim families who lost members in the Anguwan Rukuba attack were also invited to meet the President. The attack resulted in the deaths of 28 individuals.

The JNI emphasized that misinformation circulating on social media should be disregarded and confirmed that Muslim victims were present during the condolence visit. The statement also noted that the JNI delegation, led by the Emir of Wase, included 15 men and 5 women.

Furthermore, the JNI called for peace and cooperation among communities, urging the Muslim community to remain calm and avoid sensational narratives, especially on social media, to prevent inciting hatred.
