COAS Shaibu Urges South East Youths to Enlist in Army

During a recent recruitment parade at the Amasiri Edda training depot in Ebonyi State, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Shaibu called on South East youths to enlist in the Nigerian Army. He noted that the region's recruitment figures remain low and urged community leaders, parents, and guardians to encourage young men and women to take advantage of the newly established military training depot.

Shaibu described military service as a path of patriotism and leadership, highlighting the need for greater participation from the youth in military service. He warned new recruits against violating the Nigerian Army's social media policies, stating that such actions could lead to disciplinary measures, including dismissal.

Governor Francis Nwifuru assured the Nigerian Army of Ebonyi State's continued support, emphasizing the strategic importance of the training depot for the region and its benefits for the community.
