COAS Warns Military Graduates on Social Media Use

During the 68th Passing Out Parade of the Nigerian Military School in Zaria, Kaduna State, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, the Chief of Army Staff, warned graduates against the misuse of social media. He urged them to maintain discipline and uphold professionalism throughout their military careers.

Represented by Major General GM Mutkut, Shaibu emphasized the importance of adhering to human rights principles and the rules of engagement. He noted that the graduates had completed a rigorous six-year training program, equipping them with skills necessary for service.

Shaibu encouraged the graduates to utilize career development opportunities, including sponsorship programs for higher education. He acknowledged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's support for enhancing military operational capacity and personnel welfare.

Additionally, he cautioned against disclosing unauthorized information on social media that could jeopardize military operations or national security, urging graduates to be exemplary ambassadors of the institution.
