Ahmad: Jonathan Not Solely Responsible for Boko Haram

Bashir Ahmad, who served as a media aide to former President Muhammadu Buhari, asserted that former President Goodluck Jonathan should not be entirely blamed for the activities of Boko Haram. Ahmad highlighted that the responsibility for security in Nigeria requires active participation from the government and the community.

He pointed out that security is a shared responsibility that necessitates commitment from every citizen. Ahmad urged Nigerians to provide credible intelligence to security agencies and to refrain from offering safe havens to criminals.

He emphasized the importance of traditional institutions and religious leaders in enhancing security and restoring peace in the nation, particularly in light of the ongoing Boko Haram insurgency.
