Tinubu Addresses Jos Attack Victims Amid Security Concerns

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with victims of a recent attack at Jos airport instead of visiting the affected community due to logistical and security constraints. Special Adviser to the President, Bayo Onanuga, explained that the decision was influenced by operational difficulties, including the absence of navigational aids for night flights.

The visit was arranged overnight following a briefing from Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang. During his visit, President Tinubu aimed to engage stakeholders to find lasting solutions to recurring violence in Plateau State.

He announced plans to deploy 5,000 artificial intelligence-enabled cameras across Jos to improve surveillance and aid intelligence gathering for security agencies. The meeting was televised live, with the President emphasizing the importance of community dialogue in sustaining peace and addressing the crisis.
