APC Integrity Group Backs Al-Makura for Campaign DG

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Integrity Group has officially endorsed Senator Tanko Al-Makura for the role of Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) in preparation for the 2027 general election. This endorsement comes amid ongoing discussions regarding the appointment, with former Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, and Senator Hope Uzodimma, Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and Governor of Imo State, also being considered as potential candidates.

The group, represented by National Coordinator Ibrahim Mamman and National Secretary Goodluck Okafor, stated that many party leaders have expressed interest in the position. However, they believe that Al-Makura, a former Governor of Nasarawa State and former Senator for Nasarawa South, is the most qualified due to his political integrity, loyalty to the APC, and ability to unite across divides.

His contributions to the APC's growth, especially in the North Central region, were highlighted as significant.
