Governor Sani Approves N200k for 4,050 Graduates in Kaduna

On Thursday, Governor Uba Sani announced the approval of N810 million to support 4,050 graduates from the Kaduna State Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development during the institute's inaugural graduation ceremony at the Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa Campus in Rigachikun. Each graduate will receive N200,000, disbursed through the Kaduna State Enterprise Development Agency.

The funds aim to assist graduates in purchasing essential tools, raising initial working capital, paying for professional registration fees, or covering transport costs while seeking employment. Sani emphasized the government's commitment to creating job opportunities by collaborating with companies and industries and developing a digital platform to connect graduates with potential employers.

The graduates completed training in 14 trade areas, including electrical installation, welding, and fashion design, and have qualified for the National Skills Qualification Level II. Sani also announced the establishment of the Kaduna State Council on Skills, which he will chair, to ensure a long-term structure for skills acquisition in the state.
