Abure Cautions NDC on Obi's Influence in Politics

Julius Abure, the chairman of the Labour Party, issued a warning to the leadership of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) regarding the potential influence of former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi within their party. Abure's statement, released on Monday, responded to reports of internal disagreements within the NDC, particularly concerning the party's leadership under Seriake Dickson, who has not conceded political positions and is demanding Obi's support.

Abure referenced the Labour Party's experience during the 2023 general elections, where several politicians secured electoral positions through the party's platform but later turned against its leadership. He cautioned that history could repeat itself if the NDC does not manage Obi's involvement carefully.

Abure accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of contributing to the leadership crisis within the Labour Party and emphasized the need for balanced power distribution among party members to maintain unity and stability.
