ADC Postpones Presidential and Governorship Screening

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) announced the postponement of its presidential and governorship screening exercise, which was initially scheduled for the weekend. The new date for the screening is now set for May 18, 2026.

Bolaji Abdullahi, the party's national secretary, issued a statement regarding this adjustment, which affects aspirants seeking to contest for the presidential and governorship tickets on the ADC platform. Although the party did not provide specific reasons for the postponement, it noted that security issues in Northern Nigeria influenced the decision.

The screening for federal lawmaker aspirants will now take place in Abuja, rather than the previously designated location, due to the ongoing security situation. The ADC expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by this adjustment and assured aspirants that they would be informed directly about the new schedule.
