APC Clears Gombe, Ogun Governors for Senatorial Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially cleared Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun to participate in the forthcoming senatorial elections. The screening exercise took place on Friday in Abuja, conducted by the APC senatorial screening committee chaired by Prof. Nentaw Yilwatda.

Governor Yahaya is set to contest for the Gombe North senatorial seat, having previously undergone a similar screening process and fulfilling the necessary constitutional and party requirements. The committee expressed confidence in his service and contributions to the party.

Governor Dapo Abiodun is aiming for the Ogun East senatorial district, emphasizing his commitment to development and quality representation for the people of Ogun East. The screening committee acknowledged Abiodun's readiness to serve and his experience in governance.

Both governors are expected to represent the APC in the upcoming primaries.
