APC Chairman Yilwatda Begins Two-Week Vacation

Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has commenced a two-week vacation as confirmed by the party on Wednesday, September 9, 2027. During his absence, the national working committee will continue to fulfill its responsibilities in line with the party's constitution.

A statement from Abimbola Tooki, Yilwatda's special adviser on media and information strategy, indicated that this vacation follows an "exceptionally demanding and eventful first year" since Yilwatda took office. The APC emphasized that the break is essential for Yilwatda to rest and recharge after extensive engagements and preparations for the 2027 elections.

The party noted several milestones achieved under Yilwatda's leadership, including the organization of a national convention and the conduct of primary elections. The APC clarified that Yilwatda's temporary absence would not disrupt party operations, and he is expected to return at the end of the two weeks to continue his duties.
