Yilwatda Takes Two-Week Vacation Ahead of 2027 Elections

Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has commenced a two-week vacation outside Nigeria, described by the party as a necessary break after a demanding first year of his tenure. A statement from Abimbola Tooki, Special Adviser to the National Chairman on Media and Information Strategy, indicated that this vacation is intended for Yilwatda to rest, recharge, and reflect on the responsibilities leading up to the 2027 general elections.

During his first year, Yilwatda engaged in extensive party activities, including consultations and strategic engagements aimed at strengthening the APC. His achievements include the successful organization of the APC National Convention and the conduct of primary elections.

The party emphasized that Yilwatda’s vacation should not be seen as a disengagement from his responsibilities, as the National Working Committee (NWC) will continue to operate in accordance with the party's constitution. Yilwatda is expected to return to Nigeria at the end of the vacation to resume his official duties.
