JUST IN: Court Halts Demolition of Former Ogun Governor Gbenga Daniel’s Residence, Hotel

The High Court in Sagamu, Ogun State, has issued an interim injunction preventing the demolition or interference with the properties belonging to former Ogun State Governor Gbenga Daniel and his wife, Yeye Olufunke Daniel. The court order, granted by Justice Oloyede, followed an urgent application filed by the couple's counsel, Adeyinka Kotoye SAN.

The contested properties include Daniel's private residence, Asoludero Court, located within the Government Reservation Area (GRA) in Sagamu, as well as the Daniel Conference Hotel annex. Justice Oloyede emphasized the need to prevent potential damage and scheduled a hearing for August 19, 2025.

This development comes after the Ogun State government issued a quit notice for the demolition of the properties, citing a statutory land audit.
