Delta Governor Oborevwori Reshuffles Cabinet Amid Resignations

Delta Governor Sheriff Oborevwori approved a minor reshuffle of the state executive council after two commissioners resigned to seek electoral positions ahead of the 2027 general elections. The announcement was made on Friday in Asaba through a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Charl Aniagwu.

The reshuffle affects the Commissioner for Rural Roads and the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Community Development, Princess Pat Ajudua, who will now oversee the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Community Support Services, and Girl Child Development. Additionally, Godknow Angel will supervise the Ministry of Youth Development, pending further appointments.

The resignations were part of a broader political activity as former cabinet members prepare to contest seats in the Delta State House of Assembly, with political activities gradually gathering momentum ahead of the upcoming electoral cycle. Governor Oborevwori expressed appreciation for the contributions of the outgoing commissioners during their time in office.
