Mustapha Bala Dawaki Defects to NDC After Ticket Loss

Mustapha Bala Dawaki, who served as the Chief of Staff to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has officially defected to the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) following his unsuccessful attempt to secure a return ticket for the upcoming elections. This announcement was made by Saifullahi Hassan, a media aide to NDC leader Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, confirming the transition took place at Kwankwaso's residence on Miller Road in Kano.

Dawaki, a former member of the House of Representatives representing Dawakin Kudu and Warawa constituencies in Kano State, left the APC just a week after losing his bid for the party's consensus ticket. The process of ticket allocation within the NDC is ongoing, but it remains unclear whether Dawaki will automatically receive a ticket to contest in the upcoming elections.
