IGP Disu Announces New Postings for Senior Police Officers

On October 23, 2023, the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, issued an internal circular announcing the redeployment of several senior officers within the Nigeria Police Force. This reshuffle affects key positions across various directorates and specialized units, including the departure of DIG Zachariah Fera Achinyan from the Legal Services Directorate and DIG Zango Ibrahim Baba from the Research and Planning Directorate.

Other notable changes include DIG Isyaku Moham leaving the Training and Development Directorate, DIG Margaret Ochalla moving from the Criminal Investigation Department to lead the ICT Department, and DIG Moham Sulaiman departing from the Finance and Administration Directorate. The restructuring also includes DIG Kenechukwu Aig Onwuemeli from the Intelligence Directorate and DIG Fayoad Adegok Mustapha from the Information and Communication Technology Directorate.

The Nigeria Police Force confirmed that this reshuffle is part of routine administrative measures aimed at enhancing operational efficiency across the force.
