IPOB Clarifies Ekpa's Non-Membership Amid Finland Conviction

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) reacted to the terrorism conviction of Simon Ekpa in Finland, clarifying that Ekpa was never a member of the group. Ekpa, a separatist agitator, was sentenced in Finland on terrorism charges.

IPOB emphasized that Ekpa's association with the movement had been addressed in court records, confirming he never held any official position within IPOB or its armed wing, ESN. The group disowned any statements linking Ekpa to them and stressed their commitment to lawful activities.

IPOB called for a fair trial for its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, and urged the international community to ensure justice in his case.
