Marafa Wins NDC Governorship Ticket for Zamfara 2027

Kabiru Marafa has emerged as the governorship candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming 2027 elections for Zamfara State. His candidacy was confirmed during a consensus arrangement meeting held in Gusau, the state capital, which was chaired by Aminu Jelani, the chairman of the party's electoral committee.

Marafa expressed his appreciation for the support from party members and pledged to deliver accountable and responsible leadership if elected. He emphasized the need to combat corruption, which he identified as a barrier to the development of Zamfara State.

Marafa also promised to prioritize transparency and prudent management of public resources, aiming to improve the living standards of residents and ensure equal opportunities across the state. Recently, Marafa joined the NDC after leaving the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and he has agreed with party leader Seriake Dickson to strengthen the NDC's political activities in Zamfara State.
