NCAA Summons 13 Airlines Over Flight Delays: Passenger Safety in Focus

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has summoned 13 domestic airlines for an emergency meeting in Abuja due to a surge in flight delays and cancellations causing distress to passengers nationwide. The meeting, scheduled for Wednesday at the agency's headquarters, will address issues like unresolved refunds, poor passenger handling, and safety protocol enforcement.

The Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at NCAA, Michael Achimugu, expressed concern over passengers being stranded without care, exposing them to risks. The NCAA vowed to name and shame carriers that violate aviation regulations, especially those abandoning passengers without proper care, signaling a stricter stance on airline accountability.
