NNPC Ltd Reports N7.2 Trillion Profit for 2025

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) announced a profit after tax of N7.2 trillion for the 2025 financial year, marking a 33% increase from N5.4 trillion in 2024, despite a revenue decline to N34.5 trillion from N45.1 trillion in 2024. Bayo Ojulari, the group chief executive officer, presented the audited results during a media briefing in Abuja following the company’s annual general meeting.
He attributed the revenue drop to lower crude oil prices and reduced product volumes due to market regulation and subsidy removal. However, profit increased due to improved operational efficiency and discipline.
Taxes, royalties, and other government remittances rose by 39% to N22.3 trillion. Crude oil production peaked at 1.77 million barrels per day, and gas supply reached 7.2 billion standard cubic feet per day.
Ojulari also discussed infrastructure developments, including the completion of the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano gas pipeline and the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben gas pipeline. NNPC aims for 2 million barrels of crude oil production per day by 2027 and plans to mobilize over $60 billion in investments.
