Politicians Defect to NDC Amid Opposition Crisis

Amid ongoing crises in major opposition parties, politicians are flocking to the National Democratic Congress (NDC). On Thursday, Senator Seriak Dickson announced that several politicians, including Amanda Pam, a former deputy national legal adviser of the PDP and former health secretary of the FCT, have defected to the NDC.

This wave of defections includes members from the ADC, APC, and PDP, with Dickson receiving the entire structure of the SDP in the FCT, including local government and ward chairmen. The state chairman of the SDP, Alhaji Nuradeen Bisalla, also joined the NDC, marking a complete collapse of the SDP structure in the territory.

Dickson emphasized the need for politicians seeking new platforms to join the NDC, which he believes will challenge the APC in future elections. He called for collective efforts to build a stronger political movement, highlighting the importance of contributions from party members rather than wealthy individuals.
