Nigerian Senate Screens Ex-CDS Musa for Defence Minister Role

The Nigerian Senate has commenced the screening of Christoph Musa for the position of Defence Minister. Musa, a retired general and former Chief of Defence Staff, was nominated by President Buhari.

The screening process involved questions on various national security challenges, with emphasis on border security and combating terrorism. Musa highlighted the need for unity against insecurity and strengthening border security.

The nomination follows the resignation of the former Defence Minister, Moham Abubakar, and has been transmitted to the Senate for approval.
