Soldiers Neutralize Three Suspected Terrorists in Plateau

On a Thursday night at approximately 11:45 PM, soldiers from the Joint Task Force conducted an operation in Plateau State, specifically in the Jo North area, following a distress call regarding sporadic gunfire. During this operation, troops intercepted two individuals dressed in black tactical uniforms, who were allegedly involved in arson attacks on residential buildings.

The soldiers responded to the situation, which resulted in two individuals sustaining gunshot wounds and being evacuated to a medical facility, where they were reported to be in stable condition. The military officer involved stated that the arrests were a direct rebuttal to recent allegations suggesting military complicity in unrest in Jo North.

The operation also successfully disrupted a larger movement of terrorists traveling via motorcycles, with additional counter-terrorism troops deployed in the state.
