Troops Neutralize Terrorists, Arrest Arson Suspects in Plateau

On Friday, the Joint Military Task Force in Plateau State announced the neutralization of three suspected terrorists and the arrest of two individuals allegedly involved in an arson attempt. The operations took place in the Jo North Local Government Area, specifically in the Duts Uku community, following reports of violence and arson.

Captain Chinonso Oteh, the media officer for the task force, stated that the suspects were apprehended for their alleged participation in burning houses and inciting violence within the community. The arrested individuals sustained gunshot wounds during the operation and are currently receiving medical attention.

Additionally, a separate operation in Karem Community, Wase Local Government Area, disrupted the movement of other suspected terrorists. The task force emphasized the importance of public cooperation in restoring peace and urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
