Soldiers Neutralize 10 Terrorists in Plateau Operation

On April 9, 2026, soldiers from the Joint Task Force conducted a successful operation in the Kanam Local Government Area of Plateau State, neutralizing at least 10 terrorists. The operation, part of a broader offensive codenamed "Operation Wutan Daji," aimed to disrupt the logistics network of armed groups.

Captain Chinonso Oteh confirmed the operation's success, which involved establishing strategic block positions and engaging a large group of terrorists who were moving on motorcycles. The soldiers faced initial resistance but ultimately overwhelmed the terrorists with superior firepower.

In addition to neutralizing the terrorists, the troops recovered significant weaponry, including three AK-47 rifles, ammunition, and motorcycles, as well as valuable intelligence materials. Local residents, including Jamilu Suleiman and Garba Suleman, expressed satisfaction with the operation, which has been part of ongoing efforts to restore peace in a region plagued by kidnappings and attacks by armed groups.
