Terrorists Attack Borno Community, Prompting Military Response

In the early hours of Monday, a terrorist attack took place in a Borno community, particularly around Dala Bulamari and Ajilari Cross, leading to widespread panic among residents. The attack began around 12:35 AM, with reports of sporadic gunfire.

In response, military and police reinforcements were deployed to the scene. ASP Nahum Dasso, a spokesperson for the Borno State Police Command, confirmed the police's operational movement towards the area affected by the suspected terrorist attack.

Residents, including Abdulamalik Aminu, who lives near the Pompommari Bypass area, reported hearing loud explosions and gunfire as people attempted to leave their homes. Following the incident, military helicopters were observed hovering over Maiduguri and the surrounding area.
