Tinubu Reappoints Ahmed Audi as NSCDC Commandant-General

President Bola Tinubu has officially reappointed Ahmed Audi as the Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for a new five-year term, which took effect on February 27. The announcement was made by Bayo Onanuga, a special adviser to the president.

Audi is scheduled to resume his duties on March 2. In his renewed mandate, President Tinubu has charged Audi with repositioning the NSCDC to play a significant role in the country’s security landscape, particularly focusing on police responsibilities to protect citizens from banditry, kidnapping, and terrorism.

This reappointment underscores the government's commitment to enhancing national security through effective leadership within the NSCDC.
