ADC Kaduna Dismisses APC Chieftain's Influence on Party

Members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kaduna State have publicly dismissed the influence of Salihu Lukman, a former national vice chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Northwest. In a statement issued on Friday and signed by convenor Abubakar Danjuma, the ADC urged Senator David Mark, the party's national chairman, to ignore a recent letter from Lukman.

The ADC's position is that Lukman's assertions do not represent the views of the Kaduna State chapter or its coalition stakeholders. The statement emphasized that ADC's structure in Kaduna is anchored by former Governor Nasir El-Rufai and that Lukman's political relevance is limited to Abuja media engagements, lacking significant grassroots support within the state.

The ADC accused Lukman of convening meetings without the involvement of recognized party leaders in Kaduna and described his actions as divisive, warning that such distractions could undermine unity within the party.
