Kaduna Golf Club to Host Expanded First Bank Tournament

The Kaduna Golf Club is preparing to host the annual First Bank Kaduna Golf Tournament on March 28, 2026, with expectations of 200 golfers participating. The tournament, which has a history dating back to 1921, will welcome both amateur and professional golfers competing in various categories, including professional, veteran, men, and ladies.

Captain of the Kaduna Golf Club, Nazifi Jibrin, noted that extensive preparations are underway to ensure the tournament's success. This year's edition is projected to see a significant turnout due to increased funding aimed at enhancing the event's overall quality.

A major highlight will be the return of professional golfers, who were absent in the previous edition. Jibrin mentioned that the club has already surpassed 150 registered golfers, indicating strong interest.

Beyond the competition, the tournament will include community outreach activities to promote the sport and support social causes, such as visits to hospitals and schools. Jibrin expressed gratitude to First Bank for its consistent support of sports development in Northern Nigeria.
