VP Shettima Leads Delegation to Kwara After Kaiama Massacre

Vice President Kashim Shettima led a federal government delegation to Kwara State to visit the Nuku Woro community in the Kaiama Local Government Area, which had recently experienced a terrorist attack claiming several lives. During the visit, Shettima reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu's commitment to restoring peace and stability in the affected area.

He disclosed that a battalion of the Nigerian Army had been deployed to Kaiama as part of ongoing efforts to eliminate insecurity in the state. The delegation expressed condolences to the affected community and provided relief materials.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq commended the swift response of the federal government and emphasized the need for continued efforts to improve security nationwide. Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum also extended condolences and called for enhanced security measures to prevent future attacks.

Local authorities, including the Chairman of Kaiama Local Government Area and the Emir of Kaiama, expressed gratitude for the prompt intervention and deployment of security operations by the federal government.
