Vice President Shettima Visits Kwara State Over Kiama Killings, Aims to Restore Peace Amid Bandit Attacks

Vice President Shettima of Nigeria arrived in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, to address the killings in the Woro community of Kaiama local government by bandits. His aircraft landed at the General Tunde Idiagbon International Airport, where he was received by Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, among other dignitaries.

The attack resulted in the deaths of several people and the burning of shops and a traditional ruler's home. The military was directed to launch an operation to ensure peace in the Kiama local government area.

Shettima also met with President Tinubu in Abuja to discuss the security situation behind closed doors.
